Abstract
Analyses of the Haller-Miller Occupational Aspiration Scale presented in this paper indicate it to be a valid and reliable instrument for use on male high school populations in southern Brazil. Parallel analyses of a female sample demonstrated it to be less valid for them. The scale should prove useful for vocational guidance personnel, those researching student aspirations in Brazil, and those conducting comparative status attainment research.
