Uma Pedra no Caminho da Teoria Comunicativa: A Subjetividade em Jürgen Habermas

Souza, Jessé

Resumo

This study discuss Jürgen Habermas's latter-day attempt to appropriate the aesthetic-expressive element of reason (or subjective world, as Habermas would have it) as part of the rationalist presuppositions informing his theory of communicative action. The author's guiding hypothesis is that this attempt to incorporate a pre-discursive, intuitive element - which characterizes the aesthetic-expressive experience - strains the categorical boundaries of communication theory and lays bare its bias, thus contradicting the synthesizing intent of Habermas's theory.
