Dados é uma das principais e mais longevas publicações nas ciências sociais no Brasil. Resumo
This article is essentially bibliographical but does not presume to be exhaustive. It deals with the production, from 1949 through 1974, of political science studies concerning Brazil1 with special emphasis on material published in book form. Rather than following a strict chronological order, the article is organized in terms of eight areas, namely: 1) Political Parties and Electoral Behavior; II) Social Classes, Labor Union Organization and the State; III) Growth of the Public Sector and Decision-Making Processes; IV) Brazilian Foreign Policy and International Relations; V) Functional Groups, their Structure and Relations with the State; VI) Analysis of ldeologies and Interpretations of Brazilian Political Thinking; VII) Historical Development of the Brazilian State and; VIII) Analysis of Conjunctures and Alternative Political Models. A bibliographical listing of books and theses can be found at the end of the article.
